Chip Cash is keynote speaker for Blowing Rock Men’s Connection ‘Summer Special’; everyone invited

By David Rogers. BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — Featuring keynote speaker Chip Cash, a Community Catalyst Pastor at Waypoint Community Church in Charlotte, Blowing Rock’s Men’s Connection bible study group invites spouses, significant others and members of the High Country community to its “Summer Special” prayer breakfast on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 8:30 a.m., in the Evergreen Room of Chetola Mountain Resort in Blowing Rock. Admission is free.

While the Men’s Connection group has met weekly throughout the year since 2008, each year they host spouses and community members to join them in hearing from a special, keynote speaker. The list of prior years’ keynotes include former Krispy Kreme CEO Jim Morgan, baseball Hall of Fame member Bobby Richardson, Anne Graham Lotz (daughter of Billy Graham), champion tennis pro Stan Smith, and Samaritan’s Purse chief operating officer Edward Graham (Billy Graham’s grandson and Franklin Graham’s son), to name a few.

Cash has served Waypoint Community Church since 2019, and for the almost 15 year before that was a senior executive with Search Ministries in Charlotte. Cash is the son of the late “Steady” and Barbara Cash, longtime residents of Blowing Rock, and was the very first “teacher” enlisted by the Men’s Connection founders.

“Whether you are a longtime student of the Bible or a curious newcomer to its study, Cash has a talent for articulating God’s word in practical, down-to-earth messaging that is inspiring to every Christian ear,” said Tucker Yates, one of the Men’s Connection founders and author of the book, Heaven is Real. “Anyone who attends this special meeting of our group and friends will not leave disappointed. Their spiritual lives will be enriched, to be sure.”

The event will start at 8:30 a.m. and is expected not to last past 10 a.m.

“We are especially grateful for Chetola and owner Warren Cathcart in hosting our weekly meeting as well as this special meeting,” said Yates.

The Men’s Connection bible study group meets every Tuesday morning, 7:15 a.m., in the restaurant at Chetola Mountain Resort.
