    Updated Schedule for NC 105 Bridge Project from NCDOT

    SPECIAL REPORT. BANNER ELK – A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation has updated the schedule for work on N.C. 105 and Broadstone Road in Watauga County.

    At 10 a.m. today (Thursday, July 11), crews from Wright Brothers Construction Company Inc. will perform a blasting operation, stopping traffic for no more than five minutes.

    After the operation, until 4 p.m., traffic will be stopped intermittently for 15-20 seconds at a time to allow trucks to enter and exit the work zone.

    The nighttime work that was previously scheduled has been canceled.

    Motorists are encouraged to use caution and stay attentive to flaggers in the area.
