Discovering The Markets: July 24, 2016

By David Rogers. July 24, 2016. BLOWING ROCK, NC — By examining the share price movements of popular ETFs (exchange-traded funds) with our proprietary chart constructs, Blowing Rock News’ “Discovering The Markets” report tries to identify not only prevailing trends, but also potential intermediate-term turning points. There are areas of potential commitment opportunity, as well as price levels where markets look vulnerable.

We offer this perspective on ETFs of current interest without charge to our readers. You may send LINKS to our individual reports as often as you like.  However, all of our research is copyright protected and may NOT be copied, reproduced or otherwise redistributed without the express written permission of Blowing Rock News.

This research relies on two basic technical analysis tools: our proprietary BRN Time Flex Study, as well as our interpretation of Hull moving averages that are designed to reduce lag time while still achieving the desired “smoothing” effect of moving average analysis.

Charts are constructed using Worden Brothers, Inc.’s TC2000.

In this inaugural “Discovering The Markets” report, in addition to a quick look at the Dow Industrials we focus on ETFs in the Emerging Markets, Gold Mining and Utilities sectors.
