SPECIAL REPORT to Blowing Rock News. By Renee Whitener. January 13, 2019. LENOIR, NC — Blue Ridge Energy line technicians continue working to restore the final 104 outages after icy weather overnight caused down trees and tree limbs on power lines, impacting over 1,130 members earlier today.

Outages have been scattered across the cooperative’s service area. As of 2:30 pm Sunday, the remaining outages are in: Ashe County: 45; Alleghany County: 38; Wilkes County: 16; Caldwell County: 5.

Blue Ridge Energy reminds members to report all outages by calling 1-800-448-2383 or by using the Blue Ridge Energy mobile app. Outage updates are available on the cooperative’s live outage map at www.BlueRidgeEnergy.com and on the mobile app.
