By David Rogers. April 22, 2020. BLOWING ROCK, NC — Calls for re-opening North Carolina and ending the lockdown have begun in earnest, as a letter to Governor Roy Cooper carrying 29 signatures of North Carolina state (Republican) senators effectively demonstrates.
While there are hints of partisan politics throughout the letter, it also raises important questions about North Carolina’s response to the pandemic, the economic impact on the state, and transparency in the Governor’s plan(s) to bring the state out of the emergency lockdown.
