BLOWING ROCK, NC — Installation of a sewer line in conjunction with the U.S. 321 widening project is prompting the NCDOT to order closure of a portion of North Main St. next week, beginning Monday and anticipated to be in effect all next week, according to a press release received today from the Town of Blowing Rock.
The area of closure is between the entrance to Chetola and the traffic light at Main Street’s intersection with U.S. 321. It is anticipated that the work will be finished in time for Main Street to be reopened in time to serve for the Nov. 1st weekend.
According to the Town press release, “The area will be posted by NCDOT along with detour routes. Chetola and other businesses and homes in the area can be accessed by taking Sunset Drive up to Main Street. The portion of Main Street marked in red on the map…shows the area of the road closure.”
