CRIMESTOPPERS: Cowboy and ‘Cat Bring Holiday Gloom to High Country

1521168_2Special Report to Blowing Rock News from Boone Police Department. By Sgt. Shane Robbins. December 22, 2015. BOONE, NC — High Country Crime Stoppers and Boone Police seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crime:

On Friday December 11, credit cards and other belongings were stolen from a vehicle in Banner Elk.  Later that same evening the stolen credit cards were used in various locations in Boone.  Boone Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two men seen on surveillance footage.  Both are white males in their early twenties, one wearing a tan cowboy hat and the other wearing a Carolina Panthers ball cap.  The men were seen in a black late 90’s model Toyota 4Runner with dark wheels and a large rack on top.

  1. The same description of the males in early 20’s and the early 90
    ‘s black 4 Runner matches the report on theft of Halloween decorations stolen from Doc’s Rocks Gem Mine over the past few years.
    These may be the same guys that have been ripping off people in Watauga for a while now. We may be able to get the reward higher if we can connect them to all of the crimes they have committed.
