Brevard woman identified as Blue Ridge Parkway fatality

SPECIAL REPORT TO BLOWING ROCK NEWS FROM THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE. June 4, 2019. HAYWOOD COUNTY, NC — – On Monday, June 3, 2019, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Blue Ridge Parkway dispatchers received a report of a single motor vehicle rollover near Milepost 423 on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Rangers and local rescue crews arrived on scene to find a single occupant deceased. The driver of the vehicle was later identified as Diane Banther Rice, age 61, of Brevard, North Carolina.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Rice was traveling southbound at the State Route 215 access to the Parkway when her vehicle crossed the center line and northbound lane before striking a gate in that area.

Rogers is the author of "The 90% Solution: Higher Returns, Less Risk" (2006, John Wiley & Co., New York). He is married to wife Kim (Jenkins Realtors), and shares in the joy provided by her three grown children and five grandchildren.
