By David Rogers. April 9, 2018. BLOWING ROCK, NC — A relatively light agenda is on tap for Tuesday night’s regular April meeting of Blowing Rock’s Board of Commissioners and Town Council.

Old Business includes two agenda items, the first to choose between two candidates for a volunteer position as a member of the Blowing Rock Appearance Advisory Commission (BRAAC). The second is to consider an appointment to the Watauga County Parks and Recreation Board.

First in New Business is a resolution for the issuance of another $2.3 million in the previously approved Community Improvement Bonds.  CLICK HERE to review the resolution document.

The second and final listed agenda item under New Business is a proposal to approve a public art sculpture approved earlier by BRAAC for the Blowing Rock Art & Museum (BRAHM). It is part of Appalachian State University Turchin Art Center’s 32nd Annual Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition. If approved by Town Council, the sculpture will be installed between May 23rd and May 25th.  CLICK HERE for more information, including photographic images of the sculpture chosen by BRAHM for the exhibition.
