The most exciting event of the day was when Wayne Huddleston with Duke Energy, took home a 5-day cruise package sponsored by King Ford for scoring a hole in one shot on hole number four! Peggy Thompson with Apparel Authority and Ann Bowman with ProStaffing witnessed this shot! Way to go Wayne!

The first place winning team was the Caldwell County Schools team with players, Kevin Abee, Chris Greene, Matt Gurnsey, and Andy Puhl. They won with an astonishing score of 55. Each player received a one-hundred dollar gift certificate to the pro-shop at Cedar Rock Country Club and individual trophy.  The team will enjoy a traveling trophy and bragging rights for a year.

Blue Ridge Energy’s Team took second place with team players Robert Kent, Joel Souther, Jeff Benfield, and Nick Brown. Each player received a fifty dollar gift certificate to the pro-shop at Cedar Rock Country Club.

Last year’s winning team took third place with players Scott Grogan, Chad Townsend, Jon Land, and Colton Tucker.

The Wig Bank of Caldwell County was the Chamber’s non-profit recipient and was awarded a check in the amount of $550.00 from proceeds received from the 50/50 raffle and mulligans.  We appreciate the Wig Bank and all they do for those suffering from cancer.

Whether you are a serious golfer or just play for the love of the game, you won’t want to miss this event hosted by the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce next year!
