BLOWING ROCK, NC -- Amid the sleet and rain on Tuesday afternoon, one McRary family member smiled before the special ceremony to dedicate the renaming of the Blowing Rock water treatment suggested, "Tom let the tank spill over." In presiding over the dedication, Mayor J.B. Lawrence looked up at the heavens and quipped, "Tommy, the joke's on you. We are here to honor your memory!"

BLOWING ROCK, NC -- Two certified arborists declared the landmark spruce tree in front of Town Hall to be "healthy", so the Blowing Rock Appearance Advisory Commission unanimously recommended to Town Commissioners that the tree be preserved in the ongoing Blowing Rock Town Hall beautification project.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Water Service in Blowing Rock Disrupted April 15th, Scheduled Maintenance

PUBLIC NOTICE: March 31, 2014. BLOWING ROCK, NC -- All Town of Blowing Rock water customers should expect to be without water service beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 15th. The work is expected to take no more than 8 hours to complete, so service is expected to be restored by 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday April 16th.
