By David Rogers. January 9, 2018. BLOWING ROCK, NC — A light agenda is on hand for January’s regular meeting of the Blowing Rock Board of Commissioners. The only business of note is a public hearing on the draft ordinance discussed and approved at the December 21st Planning Board meeting to increase the allowable American flag pole height from 20 feet to 30 feet.
In other new business, Misty Watson, CPA, will present her firm’s audit of the Town’s financials.
Under Special Recognition at the beginning of the meeting, Mayor Charlie Sellers and Town Manager Ed Evans will ask the Commissioners to approve a Resolution of Appreciation honoring the late Ginny Stevens.
The Blowing Rock Board of Commissioners meeting, also known as the Town Council with the Mayor chairing the meeting but only voting in the event of a tie among the Commissioners, is scheduled for 6:00 pm at Town Hall on Main Street in Blowing Rock.
