Blowing Rock's Morgan Ignites DWHCS Campaign with "Flashypants" Video

By David Rogers. September 16, 2011. BLOWING ROCK -- Proving he will do just about anything to raise money for the Hayes Performing Arts Center in Blowing Rock's new headliner event, Dancing With The High Country Stars, Todd Morgan unveiled a new video this afternoon, on YouTube.

Produced and hosted by the 2011 Blowing Rock Leadership Challenge class of 12 Blowing Rock business men and women, Dancing With The High Country Stars features eight area "celebrities", each puttinng the groove on for two different dances.  Before, during and after the September 29th evening event, the dancers' respective supporters are invited to "vote" by donating money in his or her name to one of four charities: Blowing Rock Community Foundation, Blowing Rock C.A.R.E.S., the Watauga Humane Society, and the Hayes Performing Arts Center.

Blowing Rock News tracked down Morgan at Wal-Mart, where he was shopping with his personal trainer and nutritional advisor.  Asked about the video, Morgan deadpanned, "Well, I am a DANCE-A-HOLIC!  Sure, I'm plenty famous for my dreamy good looks, my easygoing charm, and my angelic singing voice.  But dang it all, I'm a dancer at heart, through and through.  This is my big break.  Thanks to Dancing With the High Country Stars, I'm finally being recognized for my toe-tapping talents -- and get to show them off to the world."

Getting serious, Morgan added, "I am proud to be associated with this event, and prouder still to be doing my part to promote the arts in the High Country.  But I also have to throw out a big 'thank you' to my partner for the evening, Kim Krege Florio, for her time, patience -- and long legs!"

To vote for Morgan or any of the other dancers and the charities that help make Blowing Rock and Watauga County a wonderful place to live, please go HERE.  Simply click on the dancer and follow the instructions!

Meanwhile, enjoy Todd Morgan's video:
